Up and Running
in Four Steps.

MicroCreativity Hub is a developer-distribution Chrome extension. No app store. No admin install. Just drag, drop, and direct.

Critical — Read Before Installing

Do not delete, move, or rename the unzipped extension folder. Chrome runs the extension directly from the folder on your hard drive. If you modify or remove it, the extension will stop working and you will need to reinstall. You can safely delete the original downloaded .zip file from your Downloads folder after installation.

Step 01

Download & Unzip

Get the latest installer package and extract it to your Documents folder.

  • 1 Download the MicroCreativityHub.zip installer file using the button above or below.
  • 2 Unzip the file. On Mac, double-click it. On Windows, right-click → "Extract All".
  • 3 Move the unzipped folder to your Documents folder. Keep it there permanently.

Step 02

Run the Helper Script

Optional but recommended. Automates the setup and opens Chrome to the right page.

macOS
MacOS_install.command
  • 1 Double-click MacOS_install.command
  • 2 If blocked by macOS: Right-click → "Open"
Windows
Windows_install.bat
  • 1 Double-click Windows_install.bat
  • 2 If prompted by Windows Defender, click "Run Anyway"

The script will open Chrome to chrome://extensions and highlight the extension folder in your Documents — ready to drag.

Step 03

Load into Chrome

Load the extension directly into your browser via Developer Mode.

  • 1 Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions in the address bar.
  • 2 Enable Developer Mode using the toggle in the top-right corner of the page.
  • 3 Open your Documents folder and locate the MicroCreativity folder.
  • 4 Drag that folder directly into the Chrome extensions page. The extension will appear instantly.

Pin to Toolbar

Keep MicroCreativity Hub one click away at all times.

  • 1 Click the Puzzle Piece 🧩 icon in your Chrome toolbar (top-right, next to the address bar).
  • 2 Find MicroCreativity Hub in the dropdown list.
  • 3 Click the Pin 📌 icon next to it. The MicroCreativity logo will appear permanently in your toolbar.
  • 4 Click the icon anytime to open the side panel and start directing your generative workflow.

Troubleshooting

Most issues are resolved in under a minute.

The script didn't work / nothing happened +
Skip the script entirely. Open chrome://extensions manually, turn on Developer Mode, then drag the unzipped MicroCreativity folder directly into the Chrome window.
Chrome shows "Disable developer mode extensions" popup +
This is a normal browser warning for manually-installed extensions. Click "Cancel" or "Keep changes" to dismiss it. This will appear every time Chrome restarts — it is safe to ignore.
Extension disappeared after a Chrome restart +
The extension folder was likely moved, renamed, or deleted. Chrome requires the folder to remain in the exact same location. Re-download, unzip to Documents, and reload the extension.
macOS blocked the install script +
macOS Gatekeeper blocks scripts from unidentified developers by default. To run it: Right-click → Open instead of double-clicking. When the dialog appears, click "Open" to confirm. If that still doesn't work, go to System Preferences → Privacy & Security and click "Allow Anyway".
I can't log in / I see "Access Denied" +
Your account needs to be activated after purchase. If you have purchased a license, check your email for the license key. If the issue persists, contact support@microcreativity.xyz.
